Beer tasting tour in Bruges

Join a professional beer sommelier on a journey through the fascinating world of Belgian beer, its rich flavors, and its intriguing history in the beautiful and captivating medieval city of Bruges. 

During this experience, you will have the opportunity to taste a wide variety of Belgian beers and explore different beer styles to find your favorites. As a beer sommelier, I will guide you through the process and offer personal recommendations to help you discover new and exciting beers during the tour. The focus of the tour is on the taste and flavor of the beers, not the quantity, so all beers will be served in small glasses. You will taste around 8 or 9 different beers during the tour, including a few larger beers in some of the pubs, subject to availability. 

We will meet in front of the Bourgogne des Flandres brewery, where you will receive a welcome and a tote bag containing your personal tasting glass. From there, we will take a short walk to the beer museum. In the taproom, we will taste some beers and learn about what makes Belgian beer so special. 

Then, we will visit two nearby beer pubs, where we will taste more beers and explore the unique Belgian beer scene. 

Finally, we will return to the Bourgogne des Flandres brewery for a beer blending and chocolate pairing workshop. During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to blend your own Bourgogne des Flandres beer from the two base beers used in the blend and compare it to the actual BdF. We will also taste some Belgian pralines with the beers, discovering how well beer and chocolate complement each other. 

Please note that this is a tasting tour that involves alcohol and chocolates, and is not suitable for anyone under the age of 16 (legal drinking age in Belgium) or for anyone who cannot consume alcohol/chocolate for medical or other reasons.
