Arizcuren wine day tour from Logrono to Quel with tasting and lunch
Here is what's in store for you
The best way to absorb the essence of a terroir is to visit it in person.You'll delve into the wine culture of an enclave as special as the Yerga mountain range. You'll be picked up in Logrono at 9 am and get a transfer towards the breathtaking panoramic offered by the Castle of Quel, built in the 15th century. Next, we will ascend to the top of the Yerga mountain range in a tour through different vineyards exploring characteristics like soil, climate, grape varieties and growing techniques.
We will finish the climbing at Barranco del Prado a pre-phylloxera vineyard certified as a Viñedo Singular, in the top of the mountain at 780m, a living museum of the DOCa Rioja. There we’ll have a glass of wine enjoying a 200 km distance long view. We will descent the mountain and continue the experience with a tasting of Arizcuren wines in the cave/bodega in the Quel traditional winery neighbourhood, enjoying the wines with a deep understanding of the landscapes, and soils that we have just walked on.
We will accompany the tasting with a traditional Rioja style lunch before getting back to Logrono.
