AperiVigna - Wine Tasting Aperitivo with Castle View at Marino Barani & Figli
Here is what's in store for you
Enjoy an authentic Italian aperitivo and wine tasting experience at Marino Barani & Figli, set among the family’s historic vineyards with a spectacular view of Vigoleno Castle.
The experience begins with a guided walk through the estate’s vineyards, where you will discover ancient native grape varieties such as Melara and Santa Maria, deeply rooted in the winemaking tradition of the Colli Piacentini. The visit then continues to the vineyard terrace, where the tasting takes place in a panoramic setting overlooking the castle.
You will taste 4 wines, introduced directly by the winemaker:
– Two bottle-fermented wines, produced with indigenous yeasts and selected Champagne yeasts
– Ortrugo in purity and Gutturnio DOC
– Two still barrique-aged wines: Monterosso Val d’Arda DOC and Barbera DOC in purity (vintage 2021)
The tasting will be paired with typical local products from the Colli Piacentini, including torta fritta (traditional leavened fried dough) and a selection of PDO cured meats.
From November to February, AperiVigna is hosted in the winery’s welcoming Wine Room, warmed by the heat of a wood-burning stove.
During the winter months, it is also possible to book the experience inside a crystal bubble set in the vineyard, offering a unique and intimate tasting with a spectacular view of Vigoleno Castle.

Furthermore, the platter accompanied by focaccia was abundant, the cakes delicious, and the wines
Castle visit plus tasting
Tasting, not satisfactory. Beyond personal taste regarding the wines produced (unfiltered),
the service was not adequate. Cold rooms and poor organization, despite there being only a few people (initially 2).
